Pallet shuttle stow Atlas®:
High performance, maximum autonomy

The stow Atlas® pallet shuttle is a semi-automated storage and retrieval system. It's essentially a motorised carriage that moves along rails within a designated pallet rack channel. The pallet shuttle can slide under a pallet and transport it within the rack channel. An electronic control system allows operators to send commands to the pallet shuttle for automated movement and positioning.

The stow Atlas® pallet shuttle eliminates the need for forklift aisles between each rack bay, allowing you to store more pallets within the same racking footprint. By automating the movement of pallets within the rack, retrieval times are reduced compared to manual forklift operation inside each channel. By minimising forklift travel within dense racking areas, pallet shuttles can also help reduce the risk of forklift accidents.

Once the shuttle has received its loading and unloading instructions, it performs its tasks with maximum autonomy, operating without further human intervention.

Overall, the stow Atlas® pallet shuttle offers a valuable solution for warehouses looking to improve storage density, enhance picking efficiency, and optimise space utilisation within their existing pallet racking systems. The increased automation and safety benefits make them a compelling option for facilities seeking to streamline storage and retrieval operations.

The latest generation of the shuttle guarantees an even higher performance level and a top tier reliability. The electro-mechanical lifting device has been designed with maintenance in mind and is ideally suited for cold store applications.

stow Atlas®: Operating up to 10 hours

The pallet shuttle system consists of a specific rack and a mobile shuttle. This shuttle is a self-powered device that runs on rails in the storage lanes to load and unload pallets. The forklift will place the pallet shuttle in the lane where the action is. From its home position, the shuttle performs the loading and unloading tasks without any further human intervention.

These tasks are communicated by the forklift driver using a remote control. Once the task is completed the shuttle returns to its home position and is then ready to be transported with a forklift truck to a new lane for a new task. Each shuttle unit runs on lithium batteries with a long autonomy (up to 10h) and a short charging time (max 3h), increasing the efficiency of your operations.

stow Atlas®: Highest possible storage density

By introducing more shuttles into your racking system, the performance will increase. The system can be used for new installations as well as for refurbishments and is independent from the number and the depth of the lanes. The automated system guarantees the highest possible storage density.

stow Atlas® stands out by prioritising shuttle design to individual pallet types, i.e. Euro, Industrial, Big Bag, CP 1, 3, 9, or plastic pallets.

With a single high-capacity lithium battery, the stow Atlas® shuttles have up to 10 hours autonomy (8 hours in cold conditions). They guarantee maximum autonomy, thus optimising the operating time.

Details of stow Atlas®

  • Speed: 0.8 m/s loaded, 1 m/s empty
  • Load capacity: 25 kg – 1500 kg
  • Works in temperatures from -30° C upwards.
  • Wifi WMS Protocol for centralised monitoring and controlling of the shuttles
  • Lane depth is unlimited
  • Inventory counting
  • Double pick / double load: possibility to load/unload 2 pallets at once
  • LIFO and FIFO possible in the same installation.
  • Variable loading depth, allowing deposit of first pallet at a variable distance in the lane, as to not always use the full lane depth when handling smaller batch sizes
